Filax: ultra-fast transfer switch

Filax is designed to switch sensitive loads, such as computers or modern entertainment equipment, from one AC source to another. The primary source is usually grid, generator or shore power. The alternative source is typically an inverter. With a switching time of less than 20 milliseconds, sensitive loads will continue to operate without disruption. Filax is not intended to power high-power household appliances such as washing machines or electric motors.

Filax 2 is available in two models:

230V/50Hz-240V/60Hz

110V/50Hz-120V/60Hz

Open pass transfer

Filax is an open-pass (cut-before-make) transfer switch.

The maximum load transfer time is 16 ms.

The load is normally provided by the priority source and is transferred to the alternative source in the following cases:

- The voltage of the priority source drops below the threshold value.

- The frequency of the priority source decreases or increases below the low frequency threshold

beyond the high frequency threshold value.

The reverse transfer from the alternate source to the priority source is initiated when the priority source is powered up.

Voltage and frequency within reverse switching limits for 30 seconds.
