AmScope B120C Siedentopf Binocular Compound Microscope

Definition:

The B120C binocular compound microscope is designed for teaching demonstrations, clinical examinations and laboratory applications. It is an ideal microscope for teachers and students, including medical students or biology majors. It features a number of improvements in functionality over other microscopes in its class, such as improved LED illumination, switchable condenser and Siedentopf head settings. Use the microscope to examine fixed or living cells, bacteria, plants, and soil or water samples.

To customize the microscope to your viewing comfort, the eyepiece spacing can be easily adjusted using a precision Siedentopf mechanism. A diopter is present in the left ocular tube to compensate for asymmetry, and the ocular tubes are angled at 30° to accommodate a comfortable sitting position without straining the neck. A variety of eyepieces can be used to increase overall optical magnification.

Four high-quality objective lenses mounted on a rotating turret are provided for immediate access to a wide magnification range. Additional 25X eyepieces increase maximum magnification to 2500X and provide 6 different magnification levels. High-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

The 2-layer mechanical table provides smooth and precise movement for examining sample carriers. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus buttons for a streamlined workflow. Inspecting sample carriers is intuitive and precise for users of any skill level.

LED downstage lighting provides cool, energy-efficient illumination. The light source is daylight balanced to produce natural colors for viewing. With our specially developed fly-eye lens, light is distributed evenly at maximum brightness to improve contrast and resolution.
